Students received citrus trees last April to participate in
the Citrus Show. They each received a Satsuma on a Swingle root stock and
have nourished them throughout the year. They have also attended several educational
meetings to learn more about the citrus industry in Florida.
This is our 8th year with the citrus show and the interest
has been overwhelming. The student’s trees will be on display and will be available for
silent auction.
A State inspector will determine that the trees are free of
disease and saleable.
The student's are required to keep a record book and are
encouraged to take a final educational test.
